I've wanted to photograph this bridge for a while, and this is exactly the image I had in mind when I drove out to Stillwater and went for a hike on the evening of September 11, 2011.

We had two days of a full moon rising before sunset over the weekend. I spent Saturday photographing in Augusta, and decided that Sunday would be the perfect night to capture the Arcola Bridge with a full moon rising in the east. It's not a manipulated photo - just good preparation. If you want a full moon in your images, a similar scene will play out every month. This happened to be a particularly good night for photography because a hot day created haze to reflect the colors and light up the sky in the east after sunset.
